Man finds bloody knife in yard

  • Tuesday, August 20, 2013

An Evergreen Magnolia Avenue man found a silver kitchen knife with what appeared to be blood on it in his yard on Aug. 12, according to a Goose Creek Police Department incident report.
The man had returned to his residence in the Montague Plantation Subdivision at 5:30 a.m. after the end of his shift.
The complainant said he picked up the knife, took it inside and went to sleep.
When he woke up at about 6:15 p.m. he decided to call police, according to the report. He told police the knife is not his nor does he own any knives that look like the one found in his yard.
The responding officer put on protective gloves and collected the knife as evidence, placing it in a cardboard knife evidence box. A police records search for the previous month yielded no reported stabbings, according to the report.
The case was closed.
