Thank you Samantha

Dear Editor,
On Aug. 28, my husband and I were traveling from Camden to Charleston for a doctor’s appointment.  We were ahead of schedule and decided to make a brief stop in Summerville at one of the shopping centers near the interstate.  With a little more than an hour before the appointment time, we returned to the car.  As I turned the key in the ignition, there was no response from the battery.
When we opened the hood of our car, we saw a corroded battery cable.  My heart sank and I literally felt sick because I did not know how I would get the battery replaced and reach the doctor’s office in time for the appointment.  Seeing our dilemma and without hesitation a young woman approached and asked if we needed help.  She offered to take us to our appointment or to get our car started using the battery in her car.  Within minutes, she pulled her car in front of ours, helped us get our car started, and we were on our way.
I am writing this hoping that Samantha will somehow know what her sweet spirit, reassuring words, beautiful smile, and kindness meant to two senior citizens on that Wednesday.
