De'Angelo Henderson led the Green Wave to victory Friday.
The Summerville and Fort Dorchester football teams opened their seasons with wins on the road Aug. 28.

The Green Wave traveled to Conway and triumphed over the Tigers 41-6. On a sloppy field caused by steady rain in the area, junior tailback De’Angelo Henderson rushed for more than 250 yards and scored four touchdowns for the Wave.

The Patriots traveled to Greenville and earned a 25-18 win in overtime. On the final play of regulation, senior Josh Hall kicked a field goal to put the game into overtime. Then sophomore QB Ethan Long, who entered the game in the second quarter for injured starter Devron Glenn, hit Rodney Gibbs for a TD pass in overtime for the winning score.
