Army Sgt. Maj. Yvette R. Bonner has retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of military service.
    Bonner, a senior combat developer, is assigned to the Combined Arms Support Command, Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va.
    She is the daughter of Frank Russell Sr. of Hamlin Road, Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Doris V. Russell of Tulip St., Summerville, S.C.
    The sergeant major graduated in 1980 from Summerville High School.  She attended St. Leo University, Fla., where she received a bachelor's degree in 2003, and a master's degree in 2008.
