Lana Joyce Dring, 64, of Summerville, SC, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, August 21, 2010 at Parks Funeral Home Chapel at 11 o’clock. Burial will be in Summerville Cemetery. Friends may call at Parks Funeral Home Friday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to April Rock, 332 Peters Creek Dr., Summerville, SC 29483.
 Lana Dring was born October 11, 1945 in Elkin, KY, a daughter of the late Roy Strickland and  Beaulah Mae Phipps Strickland. She was a cashier at Piggly Wiggly.
 Survivors include a daughter, April Rock and husband Thomas of Summerville; two sons, Michael Smith and wife Kelly of Richmond, VA; Rory Smith and wife Alex of Falls Church, VA; five grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Christi Dring, Jessica Rock, Blake Smith,  and Brandon Smith; three brothers, George Strickland and Billy Strickland, both of CA and Randall Strickland of TN; two sisters, Susie Davis of KY and Barbara Ladd of MI.
