Email is a convenient and efficient form of communication…and very popular…but are people starting to confuse it with text messaging?
We love email, not only in business, but in all areas of our lives….people young and old use it on a daily basis and sometimes I feel we may need to be reminded that as fast and quick as emailing can be…it is not a text message.
In other words, the brevity of a text message in shortening words or using letters to mean phrases, is in itself, a text and not proper email etiquette.
Please remember that in an email, the rules of grammar still apply…spelling, the use of the whole word, punctuation, etc.
So, when writing an email, slow down a millisecond, spell it out, use proper grammar and express yourself well!
