YEScarolina, a local organization whose mission is to train and teach entrepreneurship, has approached Pinewood Preparatory School about the opportunity to offer an entrepreneurship education program for 15 high school students this summer. Rising ninth-graders are eligible to attend the program, which will be taught by a Certified Entrepreneurship Teacher.
The three-week program consists of half-day sessions (8:30-11:30 a.m.), Monday through Thursday, July 13-30.
By the end of the program, students will have written a competent business plan for a business that he or she can begin over the summer and continue throughout the school year. Three prizes of seed money will be awarded to the top three business plans.
Pinewood has agreed to host the program. It is limited to the first 15 students. You do not have to be a student at Pinewood to participate. If your child is interested in attending, please contact us by July 6.
