Layonee Phillips of Ladson, an ECPI College of Technology’s Phi Theta Kappa member (a national honors organization), has been nominated to take part in a unique leadership development program across the globe. Phillips, an IT Network Security student, will visit Australia May 24–31.
The International Scholar Laureate Program (ISLP) provides high-achieving students the opportunity to take part in a learning experience designed to inform and enrich their career objectives and foster their ambition to achieve their lifelong goals in a way unlike any other.
This extraordinary pre-professional educational opportunity provides scholars with a chance to further their career development in various areas, including business, and allows them to strengthen their leadership skills. Through a comparative curriculum, they gain a global understanding of how that career field is practiced in the host country. During the program, scholars form lasting friendships with future colleagues and come away with a tremendous head start toward their career aspirations.
