Investigators allege: Brown put her three-year-old son at an unreasonable risk of harm. The boy’s babysitter noticed while giving him a bath Feb. 11 that he had red and swollen marks on his legs. She told Brown she was deeply concerned about the marks. Brown told her she would notify the boy’s doctor. She did not do so until Feb. 24, when the boy was set to have his pre-scheduled appointment. On that date, a physician at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston discovered the boy had numerous healing burns to his right leg.

Investigators allege: On May 22, Griffin entered First National Bank on North Main Street and cashed a check belonging to another man, drawing $350 from the man’s account without his knowledge or permission. Security cameras inside the bank filmed the transaction and investigators confirmed it was Griffin using his driver’s license photo.
