Junior Edward Mullis, 81, of Summerville, died Jan. 23, 2010 at a local hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Miles Road Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Burial was at Plantation Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
Mr. Mullis was born May 23, 1928 in Kannapolis, NC, a son of Edgar T. Mullis and Mary Petrea Mullis. He was a retired U.S. Air Force Flight Engineer. After retiring from the Air Force, he opened his own business, Tricounty Insurance Adjusting where he was an insurance adjuster. He was a veteran of Vietnam and Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his daughter, Tami Lee of Summerville; his son, Charles E. Mullis of Beaufort, SC; one brother Curtis Mullis of Greensboro, NC; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Patsy Ruth Mullis and second wife, Barbara LaCasia Mullis.
