Shopping and lunch: It’s time for our annual shopping trip to Hamricks and the Dollar Tree. Buy those last minute Holiday gifts and stocking stuffers or buy something eye catching for holiday church services. Buses will leave at 10 a.m. for the shopping plaza. At approximately 12:30 p.m. everyone will leave for lunch at the Golden Corral. Transportation is provided home or back to the Center. Sign up and pay $2 transportation fee at the front desk. Lunch is at your expense. Monday, Dec. 7. Speaker: Jamie Conner form Solaris Hospice will be here to discuss Holiday Grief. Whether you recently lost a loved one or you experience painful reminders of someone who isn’t with you anymore, Jamie can offer suggestions in dealing with your feelings. Thursday, Dec. 10, 10:30 – 11:15 a.m. Tax Work Off Program: The County will be present to take applications for residents of Dorchester County who would like to apply for tax work off. If interested, bring your tax bill and picture I.D. Dec. 8, 9 a.m. – noon. A variety of exercise classes and arts and crafts activities are among the other events that will be held at the senior center. Membership is free for Dorchester County residents and $12 per year for out of county residents.
