Shooting suspect sought

The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a 19-year-old North Charleston man in connection with a shooting on Ladson Road July 30.
A warrant for Attempted Murder has been issued for Montre Desean Brown of North Charleston for his involvement in the incident, said Maj. John Garrison of the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. July 30, when multiple individuals began firing handguns across Ladson Road at the driver of a mini-van stopped in the median, Garrison said. The driver also armed with a handgun, returned fire.
Brown was shot during the exchange of fire. Additionally, a seventy-six-year-old female who happened to be driving by was struck with a round that was fired from the area of Brown’s position.
Brown is described as a black male, about 5 feet seven inches tall and 160 pounds, with medium complexion, and brown hair and brown eyes. He should be considered armed and dangerous, Garrison said.
