Brett W. Taft has been promoted to the rank of senior airman in the U.S. Air Force.
Taft, an F-16 aircraft crew chief, is assigned to the 35th Fighter Wing, Misawa Air Base, Japan.  He has served in the military for two years.
He is the son of Jim N. and Chris C. Taft of Prairie Lane, Summerville, S.C.
