Trident nurses receive certification

Five critical-care nurses at Trident Medical Center have received recognition from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) for obtaining the Critical-Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) credential. Certification is a component for critical-care nurses to express their dedication and commitment to professional development.
CCRN certification contributes to improved patient safety, and indicates that a nurse is qualified and competent in the specialty of critical-care by meeting rigorous requirements to achieve and maintain this expert credential. The nurses who received the recognition are:

• Erin Brister, RN, CCRN
• Rachael Roxbrough, RN, CCRN
• Lisa Haltwanger, RN, CCRN
