Published Thursday, November 19, 2009 9:08 AM
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a 30-year-old South Carolina hunter.

Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said Wednesday that Jon Christopher Krisher died near his home in rural Reidville.

Krisher was found late Tuesday. He had left in the afternoon to hunt on a neighbor's property.

Clevenger said an autopsy showed he died from being shot in the chest. He is awaiting toxicology results.

Authorities have said they believe Krisher fell from a tree stand.
