The Post and Courier of Charleston reported that the Coast Guard said a call came in about 4 p.m. Sunday that a 23-foot recreational boat was in trouble about 15 miles east of Charleston Harbor.
A helicopter from Charleston spotted the boat shortly after the call came in to Coast Guard officials. A rescue boat from Charleston arrived and removed the passengers on the boat and was able to patch the boat and tow it back to shore.
The Coast Guard says one person suffered a minor cut after slipping on the deck.
