I did not know her well, What I do know is that Susan always had a smile on her face. She was always very sweet and kind to all those she worked with. We will miss her. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family.

Multiple media outlets reported that 49-year-old Susan Stanfield of Summerville was found hanged in a cell at the Dorchester County jail in Summerville about 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The sheriff's department says the woman apparently hanged herself.
Coroner Chris Nisbet says an autopsy will be performed.
Stanfield had been arrested Monday and charged with driving under the influence and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. She had refused a blood-alcohol test.
The sheriff's department says jailers had checked on Stanfield not long before she was found hanging in her cell.
The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the death.
