Two men enter pleas in 2008 death in SC
Published Tuesday, February 09, 2010 8:41 AM
AIKEN, S.C. (AP) — Two men have entered pleas in the death of a man found under a bathtub house in South Carolina.

The Aiken Standard reported the men entered Alford pleas to voluntary manslaughter charges in Aiken on Monday in the deaths of 19-year-old Marquez Tyler. An Alford plea does not admit guilty but concedes there is enough evidence for a conviction.

Matthew Lamar Jackson and Tyrone Akeen Gleaton also pleaded to armed robbery charges.

Both were sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Tyler was last seen in November 2008. His body was found in February 2009 under an overturned bathtub near Windsor in Aiken County.

Coroner Tim Carlton said then that Tyler had likely been shot and killed in November.
