Lesley Marion Sweat of Summerville, South Carolina and Matthew Gary Brantley of North Charleston, South Carolina were married on May 25, 2012 in a ceremony at Boone Hill United Methodist Church in Summerville. A reception followed at the Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens
The wedding was officiated by Dr. Joe Wren.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Blane Sweat of Summerville. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Dudley Brantley of North Charleston. The groomís father served as his best man.
The bride wore a strapless white pearl beaded lace A-line gown with a chapel train and a diamond broach.
The brideís maid of honor was Kathleen Manning McCraw. Her matron of honor was Amanda Brantley Bagwell.
Serving as bridesmaids were Sarah Lynn Gilliam, Sarah Elizabeth Richardson, Ashley Lynn Tant and Jana Lynn Wier.
The bridesmaids wore knee-length clover chiffon strapless dresses.
Honorary bridesmaids were Mandy Martschink Brantley, Ashley Caroline Rogers and Sarah Louise Rogers. The honorary bridesmaids wore a knee length navy one-shoulder chiffon dress.
The flower girl was Caroline Davis Rogers; The ring bearers were Harrison Cothran Brantley and Sullivan Wesley Rogers.
Groomsmen were Adam Stephen Brantley, John William Bagwell, William Stafford Carter III, Matthew Grant Provost and Russell Wilson Richardson Jr.
Honorary groomsmen were James Cory Rogers and Joshua Wesley Rogers.
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion Woodrow Hoats Sr. of Summerville; Mrs. Gladys Elizabeth Sweat of Givhans, South Carolina and the late Morris W. Sweat.
Honorary Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. James Allen Rogers of Summerville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Scott.
The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dudley Brantley; and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond OíNeil Stephens of Greenville, South Carolina.
The couple honeymooned in Exuma, Bahamas and have made their home in Summerville.
The bride will begin work at DuBose Middle School this fall as a math teacher. She is a 2008 graduate of Summerville High School and a 2012 graduate of Clemson University.
The groom works at Brantley Construction Company in North Charleston. He graduated from Summerville High School in 2007, from Clemson University in 2011 and received his masterís degree from Clemson University in 2012.†
