Mr. and Mrs. Steven Creigh Patterson of Summerville, South Carolina are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Laura Virginia Patterson to Reverend Edward Rossiter Chellis, both of Hampton, South Carolina.
The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Chellis of Summerville.
The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Summerville High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of South Carolina. She is employed with Hampton School District One in Hampton.
The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Pinewood Preparatory School and a 2005 graduate of the University of South Carolina. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School in 2008. He is the Pastor at Hampton/Varnville United Methodist Church in Hampton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Howard Kidd of Athens, Georgia; and Dr. and Mrs. William Creigh Patterson of Greenville, South Carolina.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Bobbie Littlefield Hennet of Summerville, South Carolina and the late Mr. Belton Charles Hennet; and Mrs. Adurline Tompkins Chellis of Summerville and the late Converse Alvah Chellis Jr.
The wedding is planned for Nov. 3, 2012 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Summerville.
