Trident Medical Center Names Chief Operating Officer

Terence van Arkel, Chief Operating Officer

North Charleston, S.C./ September 11, 2012 – Trident Medical Center (TMC) recently named Terence van Arkel as Chief Operating Officer where he will be responsible for all operating planning at TMC. Van Arkel was previously the CFO, COO and interim CEO of Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.
He is a graduate of Stetson University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting; he obtained his Master’s in Business Administration from Western Governor’s University and is also a certified public accountant. In addition to operations and planning, van Arkel will also have responsibilities with new program development and capital projects.
