A Chosen Child Adoption Services hosted a big KIDS birthday party to celebrate National Adoption Month and the agency’s 10th anniversary Saturday.
The party was held at Celebration Town in Summerville. More than 25 adoptive families came to enjoy the festivities, which included listening to Tall Tales, performed by Lowcountry Storyteller, Tim Lowry. Clown Bryan Robling entertained the children and made balloon shapes for them. The children played in the jump castles, made crafts and ate cupcakes and snacks.
Denice Fisher, ACCAS agency director promotes community activities that bring adoptive families together.
“Events like this one offer a great way for adoptive parents to meet and share ideas. The children also have the opportunity to make lifelong friendships with other children who understand what it’s like to be adopted.”
Another upcoming event in Summerville will be hosted by The Hearts of Hope Adoption Ministry. Their annual Christmas dinner for adoptive families will be held on Dec. 4. Contact Ann Quinn at Old Fort Baptist Church for additional information at (843) 873-2283.
