Accompanied by a standing ovation from the full board room, Sean’s father pinned the medal on his son’s uniform.
“I want you to meet the only cadet in the entire Air Force ROTC program – worldwide – who is receiving this honor this year,” Maj. Willis Clark, Senior Aerospace Science Instructor at Ashley Ridge High School told the board. “Everyone who knows this young man knows he will wear it with pride and honor.”

He is highly organized, skilled in teaching younger cadet, and is extremely cool under pressure. He is adept in planning events, always keeping mind the mission of the team, and the abilities and needs of his subordinates. In his four years of AFJROTC and Boy Scouts, he has always ensured that any task given to him was done to the best of his ability. He is a born leader both at in the unit, his church, and in the boy scouts. He has always challenged the cadets and scouts under him to always give their best and it shows!”
Sean’s many accomplishments include leadership positions in the ROTC unit, including Wing Commander, Flight Commander, Drill Team, and numerous other recognitions; numerous Boy Scout leadership positions, including Order of the Arrow and Eagle Scout.
