New Hours of SCORE at Chamber of Commerce are successful in 2012.
The Summerville Score Site located at the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce counseled a total of 89 walk-in prospects during 2012.
New office hours began in January 2012 on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. when the office was opened for walk-in clients at the Chamber Building located at 402 North Main Street in Summerville. These same office hours are being continued at the Chamber as 2013 rolls in.
The location of the site at the Chamber is a collective effort of the Charleston (Coastal) SCORE Chapter #285 and the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce. It is primarily staffed by local SCORE volunteers, many of whom are members of the Chamber. This service is offered on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for walk-ins.
The local SCORE team wishes to thank the Greater Summerville/Dorchester Chamber of Commerce for its help and assistance in getting the new office hours for walk-ins up and running well. New SCORE prospects are being made to feel very welcome when they walk in the front door and are greeted by the staff of the Chamber Welcome Center at 402 North Main Street in Summerville.

SCORE is proud to have these two new counselors as each will have an opportunity to share their success with many new business prospects and firms seeking to expand in the area.
SCORE seminars were also conducted in Summerville on two occasions in 2012 at the Chamber. These seminars focused on a broad area of business interests including business plans, marketing/advertising, legal business structures, sales strategies, record keeping, human resource programs, and other helpful business training.
