Eleanor Louise Woods, 81, of Summerville, SC, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 2, 2013. A funeral service was held Sunday, January 6, 2013 in the J. Henry Stuhr North Area Chapel, 2119 Dorchester Road at 3:00 pm. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. The family received friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., North Area Chapel.
Mrs. Woods was born August 31, 1931 in Charleston, SC, one of two children of Theodore Roosevelt Blitch and Velma Ward Blitch. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Summerville.
She is survived by her two sons, Gerald Woods of Washington, DC and Fred Woods of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren, Jamie Woods and his wife Sonya and Velma Woods Wright and Antwan Wright, all of Goose Creek, SC; five great-grandchildren; Bryceten, Ethen, Malayna Woods and Chance and Legend Wright; and two nephews Paul and Darren Blitch. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy D. Woods and brother Ray Blitch.
