The Charleston Area Men’s Interclub Golf Association wrapped up its season Dec. 3 with a match at Rivertowne.
Stono Ferry came in second to the home team and their finish allowed them to win the championship for 2012 convincingly. Rivertowne won the match with a score of 30, followed by Stono Ferry, which came in at 14. Trailing were Shadowmoss (10), Legend Oaks (9), Coosaw Creek (8), Berkeley (2), Crowfield (-1), Pine Forest (-2), Charleston National (-6), Dunes West (-8), Wescott (-10), Charleston Municipal (-11) and Miler (-19).
The top individual scores were turned in by Rivertowne’s Bob Zemnickas and Wesley Brunson, who both scored plus 13. Ed New of Shadowmoss was third with a plus 12 effort. Full results can be found on chsinterclub.org.
Stono Ferry finished the year with a season-best 132 points. Trailing in the point standings were Wescott (111.5), Pine Forest (106.5), Charleston Municipal (100.5), Dunes West (96.5), Crowfield (94.5), Shadowmoss (92), Berkeley (91.5), Legend Oaks (83), Charleston National (82.5), Coosaw Creek (80.5), Miler (70.5) and Rivertowne (66.5).
The first match of 2013 will take place at 10 a.m. Jan. 7 at Stono Ferry.
