Cyber Patriot Program

  • Thursday, January 24, 2013

Summerville High School’s Navy JROTC recently completed its inaugural year of competing in the Cyber Patriot Program by claiming the South Carolina state championship. The Cyber patriot Program is sponsored by the Air Force Association. Cyber Patriot is the premier national high school cyber defense competition that is designed to give hands on exposure to the foundations of cyber security. Cyber Patriot is not a hacking competition. Cyber Patriot excites students about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. Shown from left are Col. Claude Davis, Zach Calhoun, Cory Taylor, Cameron Kunce, Josh Dickerson, Erik Cheung, Nick Armock, Team Captain Ronald Rountree, and team mentor Jim Burden.
