 Hispanic Women Celebrate “International Women’s Day”
Hispanic women will celebrate “International Women’s Day”, taking place at Holiday Inn Express 120 Holiday Drive. Summerville, SC on March 8th featuring Dr. Maria Cordova, Luz Alvarado, Lydia Cotton, Paula Tejeda, Eyda Arroyabe, Patricia McBride and a presentation about Emotional Intelligence and Transformation by the psychologist and life coach Nilsy Rapalo. The event will be entirely in Spanish and women will have a chance to celebrate their femininity with us. Join us and enjoy your day with women just like you!

Summerville Junior Service League to host flapjack fundraiser
The Apple Gold Group, a franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar, is proud to partner with the Summerville Junior Service League to host a Flapjack Fundraiser on Saturday, February 23, 2013. All proceeds raised will be used to benefit local nonprofit organizations in the Summerville area.
“We are thankful for the outreach the Junior Service League does in the Summerville area and we are thrilled to be a part of this fundraising event to support its efforts,” said Michael Olander, President and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. “We ask you to attend this Flapjack Fundraiser for a morning of tasty treats to help make a positive impact on numerous non-profit organizations in your community.”
The Summerville Junior Service League fundraiser will be hosted by the Applebee’s restaurant located at 1310 N. Main Street, Summerville, SC, starting at 8 a.m. Tickets for the Flapjack Fundraiser are $7 and can be purchased by contacting Angela Wood at (843) 532-5688. Breakfast includes a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
Applebee’s is proud to partner with local nonprofit organizations as a way to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the nonprofit organization with the assistance of Applebee’s employee volunteers. Breakfasts can be held on Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization around $2 a meal. The Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraisers represent the restaurant chain’s latest efforts to remain active within its local neighborhood.
