Carnes Crossroads Real Estate, the residential sales company responsible for all new home sales within the Daniel Island Company’s emerging Carnes Crossroads community in Goose Creek, has announced the first members of its sales and administrative team. Broker-in-charge Chuck Buck is joined by Sales Associate Terri Hartig and Office Manager Cheryl Waker as the core team at the newly opened Carnes Crossroads Information Center. The first single-family homes are now under construction within this 2,300-acre master planned community.
Chuck Buck, the new Broker-in-charge and Director of Sales for Carnes Crossroads Real Estate, is a 23-year veteran of the residential home sales and construction industry, with experience working in sales, marketing and operations for several national home builders, including Beazer Homes, Centex Homes and Ryland Homes. As Vice President of Sales for Beazer Homes, he managed sales for 15 communities in Charleston, Columbia and Savannah. His career has been highlighted by many accomplishments, including being named Sales Representative of the Year in the Charleston area’s 1997 PRISM Awards, and National Sales Manager of the Year at Beazer in 2005.
“Chuck is a natural for this role,” said Matt Sloan, President of the Daniel Island Company. “As a top sales performer with extensive management experience within the home building industry, he’s got the perfect skill-set for managing the operations and growth of our new real estate company at Carnes Crossroads.”
Terri Hartig, the first Sales Associate at Carnes Crossroads Real Estate, is a seasoned sales professional with ten years experience in the new home industry. Formerly a top sales performer for the Charleston division of Beazer Homes, Hartig possesses a strong work ethic that has helped her earn awards for sales and customer service.
Cheryl Waker has been hired as the new Office Manager for Carnes Crossroads Real Estate. Previously, Cheryl spent ten years as the office manager at the Daniel Island Company’s corporate offices on Daniel Island. At Carnes Crossroads, she will be responsible for the office and administrative management of the Carnes Crossroads Information Center, as well as assisting the sales team.
Carnes Crossroads Real Estate is located within the newly opened Carnes Crossroads Information Center at 513 Wodin Place in Goose Creek. Construction on single-family homes from the first builders at Carnes Crossroads – David Weekley Homes, Eastwood Homes and Sabal Homes – is now underway. The community is planned to feature a mix of single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums, and as many as 15,000 people are expected to eventually call Carnes Crossroads home.
