Golf marathon rescheduled for March 5

  • Tuesday, February 26, 2013

Due to the weather and the golf course being closed for the day, the For the Glory of God Golf Marathon has been postponed one week to March 5.
The same schedule of events applies and the event will still take place at Summerville Country Club.
The purpose of the golf marathon is to generate awareness of the benefits of Botox and acupuncture for individuals suffering from partial paralysis, strokes and PTSD. For the event Fred Gutierrez, who was paralyzed in one half of his body after being shot in the head in 1996, will walk 36 holes of golf to demonstrate how will his rehabilitation has gone.
If individuals or corporations would like to donate money to support Gutierrez’s efforts, he is asking that donations be made to Gifting Warriors (501 C3 Non Profit EIN #27-3492685). To make a donation, visit the organization’s website at www.giftingwarriors.org.
This is a charity located in Goose Creek that is dedicated to helping our veterans nationwide, but especially here in the Lowcountry. The organization prides itself on maintaining very low administrative costs so virtually all of the money goes to helping the veterans in need in our community.
