Pinewood wins Azalea Shootout

The Pinewood Prep boys soccer team won the Azalea Soccer Shootout at the Summerville Soccer Club last weekend.
The Panthers beat Goose Creek by a score of 7-0 with two goals from Jarrett Londergan and Hayden Lowe and one each from Kevin Weber, Max Jaskwhich and Dehlon Brooks.

On Saturday Pinewood played West Ashley and won 4-0 with all four goals scored by senior Jake Wall.
In the championship match the Panthers defeated Stratford High School 3-0. Goals were scored by Logan Pooser, Jake Wall and Londergan.
"This is a great start of the season,” Pinewood coach Enrique Rodriquez said. “The team looked very compact in all lines and they are building a level of maturity that will take us to the next level. I would like to thank all parents who supported us during the tournament." 
Several Pinewood players made the All Tournament team including Jarrett Londergan, Ryan Moore and Peter Ruby.  Jake Wall was named Tournament MVP.
