Charleston National notches interclub win at Pine Forest

The course played tough March 4 when Charleston National won the fourth match of the Charleston Area Men’s Interclub Golf Association season.
Charleston National came in with plus 4 points at the Pine Forest course to take top honors. The home team came in second with a minus 13 score. Trailing were Coosaw Creek and Crowfield (-22), Legend Oaks (-26), Miler (-34), Wescott (-39), Dunes West (-42), Charleston Municipal (-43), Shadowmoss (-48), Stono Ferry (-51), Rivertowne (-53) and Berkeley (-64).
Individual honors went to Keith Bartlett of Charleston National and Phil Bees of Pine Forest who tied for first with plus 9 scores. Gunnar Jannson of Charleston National, Gerhard Frisch of Pine Forest, Lew Briggs of Coosaw Creek, and Hank Miro of Crowfield all came in at plus 5 to tie for third place.

Pine Forest is on top of the point standings with 43.5 points but Coosaw Creek is right behind with 39.5. Trailing are Shadowmoss (35), Crowfield (34), Charleston National (32), Wescott (29.5), Charleston Municipal (29), Rivertowne (27), Dunes West (24.5), Stono Ferry (23), Miler (22), Legend Oaks (19.5) and Berkeley (13.5).
The next match is scheduled for 9 a.m. April 1 at the Miler course.
