The Panther baseball team improved to 7-2 on the young season with a 15-4 win over Goose Creek Wednesday.
Hayden Heflin (2-1) picked up the pitching win for the Panthers. Johnny Osaughnessy went 3 for 4 at the plate and drove in three runs to lead the Panther batters.
Last Friday, Pinewood picked up a 17-3 victory over rival Northwood Academy.
Senior Kyle Hair (2-0) threw five innings and picked up the pitching win. Cody Lewis pitched two solid innings to wrap the game up.
The Panthers banged out 15 hits led by John McMicking and Joel Roberts who tallied three hits apiece. Heflin and Brian Doucet supplied two hits as well.
The Panthers scored 3 runs in the third inning to erase a 2-1 deficit and never looked back. An 8-run sixth inning put the Chargers away for good as the Panthers improved their Region record to 2-0.
