Summerville Police are seeking a white male with brown hair who robbed the CVS Pharmacy at 301 N. Main St. at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The white male suspect approached the pharmacist with a handkerchief over his face and presented a kitchen knife while demanding Oxycontin, according to the Summerville Police Department incident report.
The suspect exclaimed: “Now! Hurry!” The pharmacist turned over five bottles of Oxycontin by setting them on the counter. The suspect took the pill bottles and placed them in the handkerchief, fled down aisle 9 and exited the store, according to the report.
The shift supervisor told officers she didn't realize a robbery took place until after police arrived. Surveillance video shows the suspect rob the pharmacist, exit the building, get on a bicycle and ride east toward East 2nd North Street.
The investigation continues.
