Steve and Vivian Grooms celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, April 13, in the gymnasium of Boone Hill United Methodist Church. They were married April 16, 1963 at First Baptist Church of Charleston. The Reverend Rhoades performed the ceremony.
Their daughter, DéAnna Jones, assisted by her brother Tracy Grooms, hosted the event. Attending were their spouses, Bert Jones and Tammy Grooms. Also in attendance were the Grooms’ grandchildren, Andrew and Katharine Jones, Krista, Matthew, and Amanda Grooms, along with some 150 other relatives and friends.
Pastor Kelly Taylor renewed their vows and performed the invocation. Ronnie Bunch entertained the guests with music from the 50’s and 60’s.
