No new gun laws needed

  • Tuesday, April 23, 2013

To Mr. Brooks Moore, in your estimation there aren't enough laws on the books pertaining to guns, we need more. I say, poppycock, enforce the laws now on the books don't add more. However, the liberal view is †“the more laws the better." That also includes more government intrusion. Also, to you Mr. Moore, as an educated person and an educator, you apparently don't really know what the 2nd amendment of the Constitution is all about. As I read the amendment, its purpose is two fold. First, should we ever have need for it, it provides for a standing citizen army to defend our sovereign land. Second, again should we ever need it, it provides for our protection against a tyrannical government, like the Third Reich during WWII. The full purpose of the national registry that Obama wants is to locate who and where the guns are, because his second step will be to try to confiscate them from us.†††
