Swamp Fox softball

Sophomore Sierra Robinette went 3 for 5 at the plate and scored three runs Wednesday to help the Ashley Ridge softball team earn an 11-4 win over West Ashley in the Class AAAA softball playoffs. Freshman Annika Ponton was 2 for 5 at the plate with four RBIs and junior Aubrey Rabon reached base four times and scored three runs. Eighth-grader Camryn Alverson earned the pitching win for Ashley Ridge, which improved to 17-9 on the season. The Swamp Foxes advanced to play White Knoll in the District 5 championship series. Results from that series were not available at press time.
