Potholes, patches and more

  • Tuesday, May 14, 2013

Dear Editor,
If you observe me driving along Midland Parkway weaving right and left, it’s not because I’m DUI.
I’m trying to avoid all the chuckholes and overstuffed patches.
Travelers Boulevard between Trolley Road and Ladson Road was resurfaced two or three years ago. This road does not have anywhere near the traffic Midland Parkway has.
The outside lanes of Ladson Road between Midland Parkway and Miles Road have been resurfaced and didn’t need resurfacing.
Two years ago I wrote this column about Midland Parkway. A day or two after publication I received a phone call from an elected official telling me it was approved for resurfacing but had a low priority number.
I wonder how many years it takes to get a high priority number?
