Pinewood team claims state runner-up honors

The Pinewood Speed and Strength Team finished as the SCISA Class AAA state runner-up earlier this month.
Pinewood had six athletes earn an individual state championship by placing first in their weight class during the meet held at Orangeburg Prep.
Steven Kennedy (131 to 140 pound class), CT Fredrick (141-150), Joseph Bates (151-160), TJ Wilson (171-180), Donnell Bryan (181-190) and Jarrett Londergan (191-205) all won their weight division to claim a championship.
Other athletes contributing to the second-place team finish were Kendal England, Jermey Hunt, Alex Ruggiero, Zack Kanlic, Alex Nelson, Cameron Poaps and Clayton Are.
