Ingredients and Preparation
Top sirloin steak, cut into 1- to 2-inch cubes
Asian chili sauce
Freshly ground black pepper
Metal skewers, or wooden ones, soaked in water for at least 20 minutes
Red bell pepper, cut into 1- to 2-inch squares
Scallions, cut into 2-inch long strips
2. Combine beef, hoisin sauce, chili sauce, and black pepper in a large resealable plastic bag. Marinate 30 minutes to overnight.
3. Preheat broiler to high heat. (Alternatively, a grill may be used.) Thread skewers, alternating beef, bell pepper, and scallions.
4. Broil skewers 5-7 minutes, or until desired degree of doneness is achieved.
