At the May 8 meeting of the Rotary Club of Summerville, the club presented a check to the American Red Cross for $2,500 to help two families in our community recover after devastating fires. Rotary Assistant Governor Tony Pope made the presentation, which was accepted by Roberta Freer from the American Red Cross and Paul Heinauer, representing the Red Cross’s Heroes for Fire Victims program. The club meets every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Holiday Inn Express-Summerville.
