An early evening fire ravaged this single family home at 102 Hope Drive in Summerville Friday, June 7.  No one was home at the rented property at the time of the fire. The call came in at 7:40 p.m. and firefighters didn't clear the scene until 12:50 a.m. There were no injuries, according to Old Fort Fire Department Assistant Chief William Sullivan, who noted the fire started in the right side, rear bedroom. Sullivan said the cause of the fire is under investigation. Old Fort, Summerville and Ashley River fire departments responded along with EMS and Dorchester County Sheriff's deputies. The Red Cross was called in to assist the tenants.
