On May 30, on Pidgeon Bay Road in Summerville, a vehicle was apparently driven into the front of a building at 116D.
The complainant was working next door at Fast Lane Auto and left at 9:48 p.m. to go to Parks Auto Store. When he returned at 10:11 p.m., the office next door was destroyed.
It appeared, according to the incident report, that a vehicle drove straight into 116D specifically.
The owner of the building was contacted and arrived noting that nothing had been stolen. However, the damage included a burst water pipe so the water had to be turned off to the building. Police asked the owner if he knew of anyone who would do this and he did not. However the complainant, from next door, said he knew of an angry customer who might have damaged the wrong office by mistake.
