The weather delayed seventh match of the Charleston Area Men’s Interclub Golf Association was played at Legend Oaks June 17.
On a dry day, the home team won the match with 46 points. Berkeley and Charleston National tied for second with 36 points each. Trailing were Miler (35), Crowfield and Wescott (34), Dunes West (29), Coosaw Creek and Stono Ferry (25), Shadowmoss (24), Charleston Municipal and Pine Forest (23) and Rivertowne (5).
Individual honors went to Gene Johnson of Legend Oaks who placed first with 19 points. Norm Schwarts of Wescott was second with 18 points and Chuck Quinn of Pine Forest was third with 15 points. Full results can be found on chsinterclub.org.
Coosaw Creek remains in first place in the season standings with 70 points and Pine Forest is close behind with 63 points. Trailing are Charleston National (58.5), Shadowmoss (56.5), Wescott (54.5), Crowfield (54), Miler (51.5), Legend Oaks (49), Dunes West (48.5), Berkeley (39.5), Rivertowne (37), Charleston Municipal (36.5) and Stono Ferry (32.5).
The next match is scheduled for 9 a.m. July 1 at the Crowfield course.
