I am writing this letter to say some words of praise about one of Summerville’s Judges and one of their police officers.
I was in traffic court yesterday at Town Hall and my experience was unbelievable.
Judge David Whittington was the most compassionate man I've ever encountered. He was kind to each person who came before him, taking his time in a gentle manner to explain each person’s rights and to make sure they understood. He is obviously a Godly man. Officer Bailey did the exact same.
In these troubled times when we feel that all of our government officials are working against us, I found that right here in Summerville, South Carolina Judge. David Whittington and Officer Bailey of the Summerville Police Department deserve the utmost praise. There were other officers there that were showing the same compassion, however, I do not know their names. I strongly feel praise should be given when due. All we ever hear is bad “cop, bad justice system.”
