A.M. Sheehan/Journal Scene
Companies and individuals from all over South Carolina attended the first Dorchester District Two Contractor Meet & Greet Tuesday, at Summerville High School sponsored by the M.B. Kahn team. The event was to encourage local and minority business to learn what they would need to do to be considered for work on the DD2 construction project. According to M.B. Kahn, 78 companies attended and watched a Power Point presentation, learned how M.B. Kahn could help them with such things as bonding, cash flow, paperwork and state certification. A reception followed giving company representatives a chance to mingle and ask questions. Two more meetings are planned as the projects evolve.
