Caleb Apted eyeballs Caydance Kinard as she gobbles her way to victory in the watermelon eating contest at last year’s Red, White & Blue on the Green celebration in Historic Downtown Summerville. The annual event, spnosored by Summerville DREAM, features games, a Statue of Liberty and Uncle Sam costume contest and the highlight, the non-motorized parade around Hutchinson Square, led by the mayor and a color guard. The event is from 5-8 p.m.
