Gore, Gibbs exchange vows in June ceremony

Mrs. Gregory Ormal Gibbs

Melissa Kate Gore of Summerville, South Carolina and Gregory Ormal Gibbs of Pontiac, Michigan were married June 29, 2013 at 43 Wentworth St. in Charleston.
Reverend Larry Mullins and Reverend Earle Chute officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis and Genie Gore of Summerville. She was given in marriage by her father.
The bride wore a drop-waist taffeta ball gown with elegant pickups and a cathedral train. The gown also featured a lace up back and was accented with beading detail over the dress.
The maid of honor was Meghan Gore. Bridal attendants were Miss Rachel Chute, Miss Jessica Rogerson, Mrs. Meg Rogers and Mrs. Aimee Zevenbergen. The attendants’ wore full-length taffeta ball gowns in claret, featuring a draped, strapless bodice and natural waistline.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven and Gloria Gibbs of Columbia, Tennessee.
Standing as best man was Mr. Phil Marine. Groomsmen were Mr. Trevor Page, Mr. Dan Adkins, Mr. Chris Gore and Mr. Mike Peterson.
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Marvin C. and Mrs. Betty S. Rogerson Jr., Georgetown, South Carolina; and Mr. R.V. Gore and the late Mrs. Betty B. Gore of
Lexington, South Carolina.
The groom is the grandson of Mr. Preston and Mrs. Louise Davis of Summertown, Tennessee; and Mr. Bill and Mrs. Jean Gibbs of Pueblo West, Colorado.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Fort Dorchester High School and a 2008 graduate of Charleston Southern University. She is employed with Dorchester School District 2 at Summerville Elementary.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Pontias Northern High School and attended William Tyndale University. He is employed with Charles Chitwood State Farm Agency.
The couple will honeymoon in Disney World and will make their home in  Summerville.
