On Tuesday, July 9, at 2:51 p.m. Dorchester County Sheriff’s deputies attempted a traffic stop on a blue Chrysler 300. The driver did not stop and led deputies on a high-speed chase starting at Trolley Road and Midland Parkway. The chase ended when deputies lost sight of the vehicle on Ladson Road. However, deputies discovered the vehicle had struck another vehicle at the intersection of Palmetto Commerce Parkway and Ladson Road.
The driver, identified as Antuan Dante Prioleau, 35, of 302D Crescent Drive in Summerville, fled his vehicle on foot, according to witnesses, into a nearby wood line.
Officers from North Charleston Police Department, Summerville Police Department, Charleston County Sheriff’s Office and DCSO set up a perimeter around the woods between Palmetto Commerce Parkway and Hamburg Road.
After a detailed scan, the search was discontinued at 5:14 p.m.
In Prioleau’s vehicle, officers located a quantity of white powder substance that field-tested as cocaine.
Consequently, they executed a search warrant at his residence. Officers found 866 gross grams of heroin, 578 gross grams of cocaine, 34 grams of marijuana (a gross gram incudes the weight of the packaging), and $8,000 in cash.
Prioleau’s girlfriend, Sonobia Amelia Grayer, 26, was arrested at the residence and charged for being in possession of narcotics.
Prioleau is still at large.
He is described as a six-foot tall black male, 180 pounds.
Anyone with information on Prioleau or his whereabouts should contact the DCSO at 843-873-5111 or Crimestoppers at 843-554-1111.
