Wash out closes Wire Rd./Ladson roadwork begins

Wash out closes Wire Rd.—A washout has closed both lanes of Wire Road a half-mile from the Orangeburg County line in Reevesville, Dorchester County, according to the SCDOT. The hole is approximately 10 feet deep by seven feet wide and extends under the road. A detour is being set up. PROVIDED

Sanders bros. Construction begun roadwork on Ladson Road Monday. The work started at the intersection of Midland Parkway (S-517) and will stop at the Charleston County line.
Work will consist of full depth patching with traffic being reduced to one lane in both directions.
Work will take place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. and is expected to take two days to complete, weather permitting.
Be prepared for delays and use alternate routes if possible. Remember, promote work zone safety.
